What to Check Before You Buy a Bedroom Set
A bedroom set is a bigger commitment than a single piece, so it is worth a proper look before you commit. Open every drawer and run it the full length of its travel — a drawer that sticks when the room is empty will stick worse once it is full. Check the back panels and the underside for water staining, which is the usual sign a piece spent time in a garage or a Florida lanai. Look at how the mirror attaches and whether the hardware is all present, because replacement parts for discontinued sets are difficult to find.
Measure before you buy, and measure the room rather than the piece in isolation. A dresser needs clearance to open its drawers, and a chest needs a wall it can sit against without crowding a door swing. Sets are also bulky to move, so check the doorway and any stairs on the route in.
A complete set is genuinely difficult to assemble from secondhand pieces, which is why these are worth a look when they land. They do not stay long. If a set fits your room and your budget, call to confirm it is still on the floor before you make the trip.
- Open every drawer and slide it the full distance — sticking drawers get worse when loaded.

Can I buy just one piece from a set?
Come in and ask. Our preference is to sell a set whole, because a split set leaves the remaining pieces much harder to move, but a conversation at the showroom costs nothing.
Do you sell mattresses or bed frames?
We do not carry mattresses. What we stock is bedroom storage and case goods — dressers, mirrors, chests and nightstands. Anything currently available is listed above.
How much does a bedroom set cost?
Our current sets run from $650 to $680, against original retail prices that were roughly double that. Prices are shown on each listing above and are the in-store price.
